Fun Friday Theme

Argh! Join us on Friday, May 5th where swimmers are pirates for the day! Join us on the adventure of searching for clues, completing swim quests and finding the hidden treasure! We will swim on the mission to earn our treasure surprise game and some yummy treats at the end of practice! Reminder: change in Friday’s practice times compared to the rest of the week. Swim-A-Palooza

Our annual HVST Swim-A-Palooza Fundraiser will be held on Wednesday, May 24th. SWIM-A-PALOOZA IS OUR BIG FUNDRAISER FOR THE SEASON and we need everyone to help make it a splashing success! All of the funds collected from this fundraiser will help purchase new technology for hosting HVST meets (computers, printers, iPads). Participating in this lap-a-thon fundraiser not only helps our team but is REALLY FUN! There are raffles, prizes, special treats, and music to make the event extra FUN.

Below are the times for Wednesday, May 24th:

• 3:00-3:30 5/6 option 1
• 3:30-4:00 5/6 option 2
• 4:00-4:45 7/8
• 4:45-5:30 9/10
• 5:30-6:15 11+

What to do:

Fundraising:

Ask your parents, relatives, neighbors and friends to support your efforts by sponsoring you. Sponsors may pledge a flat dollar amount or sponsor each lap swam. We ask that you try to get a minimum of $50 per swimmer in pledges. We will keep the donation site (99Pledges) open until May 26th and announce winning swimmers after we receive final donation totals.

Collecting Pledges:

We are excited to streamline our fundraiser by going online with 99Pledges. You will now be able to reach out to friends and family by email, Facebook, etc. instead of going door-to-door, tracking commitments, and handling checks.

To add your child as a participant, please follow these three easy steps:

1. Go to this link https://www.99pledges.com/fund/HVSTSwimapalooza/addme
2. Enter your child’s name, enter your email(s)
3. Click “Add” > this will take you to your newly created pledge page for sending out to your contacts

Checks (made out to Harbor View Swim Team) and/or cash can be given into the Swim-A-Palooza Committee at the pool deck on Fun Fridays.

Silent Auction:

In addition to raising pledges for laps, we are hosting a silent auction for HVST summer season experiences like private lessons with your favorite coaches and swim meet photography. We will open up the bidding on these fun experiences on May 20th.

Prizes:

The swimmer with the highest sponsorship total in each age group will win a prize so go out and get as many sponsors as you can! All swimmers who participate will be put into the raffle for a chance to win fun prizes during their swim time. There will also be prizes for the swimmers that swim the most laps.
