Fun Friday Theme

Come fly away with us into a Butterfly focused practice on Friday, May 12th. Swimmers will have to catch a butterfly to determine their swim sets! Once all butterflies have been caught, enjoy a yummy snack! Reminder: change in Friday’s practice times compared to the rest of the week. See here for your swimmer’s practice schedule

Aquaman

This first meet of the season — an intrasquad competition (only our team is swimming) on Sunday, May 21st — is a Harbor View tradition. It features all participants racing four events: freestyle, breaststroke, butterfly and backstroke, with the lowest combined times in each age group earning an ‘Aquaman’ title. Will Aquaman make an appearance? You need to come to see!

Our swimmers have been working hard at practices since mid-April; for many, this is their first swim meet experience, so getting across the pool in several stroke events will be awesome! It’s a great introduction for our younger swimmers and parents to see how a swim meet operates and for our older swimmers to get those all-important dips to be eligible to swim in our Relay and Championship Finals. Ultimately, the goal for all is to put a time on the board and try to improve it throughout the summer.

Join us afterwards at 5.30pm for a fun picnic celebrating the start of the 2023 HVST season! Bring dinner, chairs, blankets and friends to the park behind Phase 1 pool!

Swim-A-Palooza

Our annual HVST Swim-A-Palooza Fundraiser will be held on Wednesday, May 24th and we have raised nearly $2,000 so far. SWIM-A-PALOOZA IS OUR BIG FUNDRAISER FOR THE SEASON and we need everyone to help make it a splashing success! All of the funds in collected from this fundraiser will help purchase new technology for hosting HVST meets (computers, printers, iPads). Participating in this lap-a-thon fundraiser not only helps our team but is REALLY FUN! There are raffles, prizes, special treats, and music to make the event extra FUN. Those who have a minimum contribution of $50 for their swimmer by Wednesday, May 17th are eligible to win the following prize: *6 PASSES & SOCKS TO SKYZONE MISSION VIEJO*.

Pollywogs

For the littlest members of the Mighty Dolphins, the Pollywogs program is perfect for kiddos aged 2.5 to 4.5 years old. Starting Monday, June 5th, these mini-mariners will dip their toes into the water, guided by a team of top-notch coaches who will help them grow more comfortable and water-safe throughout the month. By the end of this first session on Thursday, June 29th, you can expect to see many of these young tadpoles transform into confident little frogs.
