Final Swim Practice

Friday, July 28th marks our final swim practice of the 2023 practice and we won’t be hosting our usual Fun Friday theme. We would like to reserve this Friday practice to prepare for the SCSC Finals. We need all of our Mighty Dolphins to be focused, confident and most importantly prepared for THE biggest meet of the season. We will spend the day practicing relay finishes, dives and all strokes. All are welcome! Please note: practice will take place at your normal weekly time.

SCSC Final Championships

On Saturday, July 29th, we will have our second and final invitational meet of the season with all six teams in our SCSC league meeting at the SCSC Finals Championships at Estancia High School in Costa Mesa. This meet will feature a single, unified session (not a split meet) and includes both relays and individual events. It marks the end of our summer swim season and provides opportunities for athletes to showcase their skills and compete against other teams. Finals has limited entries for each team and will be invitation-only based on swimmers' dips, times and abilities including having attended at least four meets throughout the season and swimming two events at each of those meets. Coaches will be reaching out to eligible HVST swimmers by Tuesday, July 25th to invite them to swim. Go Dolphins!

End of Season Family Picnic and Awards Ceremony

On Saturday, July 29th, join us at 5:30pm on the greenbelt outside our pool by the playground for a celebration picnic and awards ceremony. All those that ordered trophies will get theirs plus we will be honoring our all-stars and graduates of the 2023 season.

Don’t forget to buy your meal from Sgt. Pepperoni's on Saturday, July 29th after Finals and bring to the picnic! Mention Harbor View Swim Team and Sgt. Pepperoni's will donate 20% of proceeds from your meal back to Harbor View Swim Team. 

As an added sweet incentive, our Picnic Committee is treating our picnic attendees with Atomic Creamery ice cream! So come on down!

Fall Swim Clinic

Now that HVST summer swim is winding down, do you find yourself asking, "So what do I do now?". The answer is simple! At Phase 1 pool, swimming is a year-round sport. Our Fall Swim Clinic is now open for registration and you can find all details on our website including the registration form for its September 5th start date. Fall Swim helps swimmers to continue to improve and get ready for High School swim team, general swim conditioning upkeep from summer and to prepare ahead for Junior Guards testing. The program focuses on excellent stroke technique, starts, turns and swim conditioning.

Ribbons and Lost and Found

Please use this last week of swim practices to look at our pool deck’s Lost and Found items including the many fins and goggles that are missing their owners. As well, please clean out your family folders of their ribbons, swim photos and caps.
