Dear Harbor View Swim Team (HVST) Families, 

As the summer season comes to a close, we as co-Presidents along with your Volunteer Executive and Operating Boards, wanted to take a moment to extend our heartfelt gratitude to all the swimmers, coaches, parents, and sponsors who have contributed to what a tremendous success this year's HVST summer season has been.

We can all agree that our swimmers have put in tremendous effort. On behalf of all us parents, we want to express our sincere thanks to each and every one of you for showing unwavering Dolphin pride and dedication in attending practices over the past 15 weeks and at every one of our nine meets. Your hard work paid off with broken records and personal bests, ultimately leading us to an undefeated season for the ninth consecutive year! Go Dolphins! 

None of this would have been possible without our exceptional coaching staff for 2023. We are truly fortunate to have Todd, Tom, Ben, Stephanie, Maye, and Kate, who bring extensive experience, deep knowledge of swimming, and genuine love for our team and athletes. Thank you, Coaches! 

At HVST, the spirit of community depends and thrives through volunteerism, and we are incredibly grateful for the dedication of our fellow parents. We see you! From operating meets to planning popular team events like Swimapalooza, Lip Sync, Fun Fridays, and age-group and parent socials, plus unseen activities like managing registration, volunteers, sponsorship, ribbons, merchandise, trophies, and communications - your individual contributions are invaluable. Thanks to your commitment week on week, our children have the opportunity to grow and compete in an environment like no other. 

Speaking of volunteer opportunities, if you've ever considered getting more involved with the swim team, now is the perfect time! We're currently seeking individuals to assume roles on both our Volunteer Executive and Operating Boards for the 2024 season. By joining the board, you'll be exempt from the day-of meet volunteering shifts, as the time spent on board duties is equivalent to or surpasses that of four half-meet shifts. If you've found completing day-of half-meet volunteer shifts challenging in the past, we encourage you to explore a behind-the-scenes 2024 board position by contacting us! 

Finally, parents! Your dedication to getting your kids to practice, declaring them for swim meets, and cheering them on in the lanes (and buying that umpteenth pushpop) does not go unnoticed. Moreover, your unwavering support throughout our 2023 transitions to Swimtopia, meet seeding, split meets, and the unveiling of our new logo has been truly appreciated. Thank you for being an essential part of our team and for embodying the true spirit of sportsmanship and Dolphin pride.

As we bid farewell to summer, we look forward to another fantastic season ahead. For those interested in further enhancing their skills, our seasonal HVST swim clinics will kick off in the Fall on September 5th.
