Fun Friday practice times are as follows:

5/6 option 1: 3:00-3:30

5/6 option 2: 3:30-4:00

7/8: 4:00-4:45

9+: 4:45-5:45

Aquaman

This first meet of the season — an intrasquad competition (only our team is swimming) on Saturday, May 11th — is a Harbor View tradition. It features all participants racing four events: freestyle, breaststroke, butterfly and backstroke, with the lowest combined times in each age group earning an ‘Aquaman’ title. Will Aquaman make an appearance? You need to come to see!

Our swimmers have been working hard at practices since mid-April; for many, this is their first swim meet experience, so getting across the pool in several stroke events will be awesome! It’s a great introduction for our younger swimmers and parents to see how a swim meet operates and for our older swimmers to get those all-important dips to be eligible to swim in our Relay and Championship Finals. Ultimately, the goal for all is to put a time on the board and try to improve it throughout the summer.

One of our mighty sponsors - The Kidder Group - will be handing out Towels to all Aquaman participants!

During Aquaman we will be keeping score of the fastest times in each age group. Be sure to stay until the end of the meet to see the fastest Aquamen & Aquawomen receive their awards. Aquaman is a Split meet so please note that the 9+ swimmers will be awarded after the first half of the meet & the 8 and under swimmers will be awarded after the second half of the meet.

Pollywogs

For the littlest members of the Mighty Dolphins, the Pollywogs program is perfect for kiddos aged 2.5 to 4.5 years old. Starting Monday, May 6th, these mini-mariners will dip their toes into the water, guided by a team of top-notch coaches who will help them grow more comfortable and water-safe throughout the month. By the end of this first session on Thursday, May 30th, you can expect to see many of these young tadpoles transform into confident little frogs.
