If you are a new HVST parent and/or just want to learn everything there is to know about how you are going to spend your summer and all things HVST-related, then please join our HVST Presidents, Vice Presidents, and Coaches on April 3rd at the Phase 1 Pool Deck for an orientation session. Everyone welcome, even returning families who would like a little bit more info!

How to Register for Volunteer Shifts

Go to https://harborviewswimteam.swimtopia.com/ starting at 8am on Saturday, April 1st.

Sign in to your Swimtopia account. (If you haven't registered your swimmer(s) yet for 2023 HVST Summer Swim Team, you'll need to do this first to get access to your Swimtopia account. Top tip: Early Bird registration fees end today!).

  1. Click on Summer Swim tab; then Calendar
  2. Click the green JOB SIGNUP OPEN button next to the meet you want to sign up for.
  3. Click the SIGN-UP FOR JOBS button for either Parent’s name.
  4. A list of jobs will appear.
    1. The list shows the job name (including 1st half or 2nd half), number of people needed for each job, and also the point value for each job.
    2. Hover over the black circle next to each job to see a description.
    3. Hover over the number in the "filled" column to see the names of other people who are signed up for a particular job.
    4. If a job is completely filled, it will be grayed out.
  5. Check the box next to the job(s) you want.
  6. Click SAVE ASSIGNMENTS at the bottom to finish your selection. Failure to do so will erase your selections.
  7. The next screen will confirm the job you have signed up for.
  8. Click the SIGN-UP FOR JOBS button again if you need to change something.
  9. Repeat the above 1-7 steps for signing up for each of your shifts to total four points.
  10. Add your family’s chosen assignments into your personal calendar so there’s no forgetting!

Winter Swim and Junior Lifeguard Conditioning Clinic Session 1

In Winter, we continue focusing on excellent stroke technique and conditioning. We also begin preparation for the upcoming Junior Guards tests, monitoring your child individually to make sure achieves the required swim times by Newport Beach Junior Guards and Crystal Cove Junior Guards programs. Winter Swim is open to kids 5 to 18 years old. It's offered in the Winter, in two separate sessions, before the New Year and after the New Year.

SESSION 1: November 1st 2023 - December 21st 2023 schedule

Monday thru Thursdays
3:30pm to 4:00pm5/6 years old
3:45pm to 4:30pm7/8 years old
4:30pm to 5:30pm 9 years old and up

* No practice on Thanksgiving Day (November 23rd)

HVST Board Meeting

HVST summer team is run by a volunteer Board and the Board meets regularly. Together they tackle the management side of the team and they vote on decisions that affect the swim team.
